Chosen and Cherished Before the Beginning

Have you ever struggled with feeling unwanted or overlooked?

Maybe life has handed you more rejection than reassurance, and it's left you wondering if you truly matter—if anyone sees you, values you, or would choose you if given the chance.

Let these words sink deep into your heart today:

“And in love He chose us before He laid the foundation of the universe! Because of His great love, He ordained us, so that we would be seen as holy in His eyes with an unstained innocence.”

Before time began… you were chosen.

Not as an afterthought. Not as a backup plan. But intentionally, lovingly, purposefully—by the God who created galaxies and breathed life into dust.

He didn’t wait to see how your story would turn out. He didn’t choose you based on your performance, your achievements, or how put-together you’d appear to others. He chose you in love—from the very beginning.

And here’s what’s even more beautiful:
Because of Jesus, when God looks at you, He sees you as holy and without stain. That means your past doesn’t define you. Your mistakes don’t disqualify you. You don’t have to strive to earn His approval—you already have it.

You are wanted.
You are loved.
You are chosen.

Let that truth quiet every voice of doubt today. You’re not just surviving this life—you’re living in the middle of God’s love story, and He’s been writing you into it since before the world began.

Prayer:
God, thank You for choosing me before I even had the chance to prove myself. Thank You that Your love doesn’t come with conditions or expiration dates. Help me to believe what You say about me—that I am holy, deeply loved, and seen through the lens of grace. Heal every place in my heart where I’ve believed the lie that I’m unwanted or unworthy. I belong to You. Amen.
